The IGBO CULTURAL UNION BIELEFELD is Non-Profit, Non Religions and Non –political organization purely devoted to the Promotion of Igbo Language and Culture.

INTRODUCTION
we are the people of Igbo speaking areas ( Ibos) of Nigeria Living in ostwestfalen-Lippe of Nordrhein- westfalen Germany.
The formation of Igbo cultural union Bielefeld was dated as far back as 1996 and since August 2003 was entered in the union Register of the official court Bielefeld as a Registered . Igbo Kultur verein e.V.Amtsgericht Bielefeld VR3668 Bielefeld.
we are happy and proud to be IBOs and Like our forefathers, always come together to upkeep our culture everywhere and anywhere we Live. A Continued existence of Igbo cultural union can only materialize when our children take our footsteps as we have taken that of our forefathers.
MEMBERSHIP.
Membership is open to all Nigeria Citizens of Igbo origin either by Birth or Affiliation who has attained the ege of 18 ( eighteen), Living in Ostwestfalen-Lippe of Nordrhein-westfalen Germany. or its surrounding and as may be accepted by the union.
An Internding member is given the observer status throughout the duration of his/her first and second appearance to the general meeting.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES.
To promote the Igbo culture, language and the national interest of Nigeria in general.
To promote and regulate our relationship with our host nation
(Germany) in cultural, social, economic and political affairs.
To offer Legal and moral support to the financial members of the Union as may be considered appropriate by the union.
To create a platform where peace and unity among the Igbos in ostwestfalen-Lippe of Nordrhein-Westerfalen and the entire Germany. To organise social, cultural activities and symposia aimed at portraying the richtness of Igbo cultural and Language.
To offer advice in matters affecting the social welfare of members Living in Germany, in collaboration with Nigeria official Representatives and the German Authorities.
We are active in promoting and supporting the understanding of African culture in general and Igbo culture in Particular, through education, cultural conferences, seminar, festivals and music shows as well as arts exhibitions to foster unity among members and members of other ethnic groups and thier culture.
